Sizing

Sizing custom fit metal bondage gear can be quite tricky. Using a tape measure might seem like an easy way to get an accurate measurement, but it’s actually quite challenging. Along with the variability involved, a simple measurement doesn’t tell you how something of that size will actually fit you and how it will feel.

So, to ensure that everyone can get perfectly sized items, we highly recommend using our system of 3D printed sizing guides. The proper usage of these sizing guides is described below.

Collars and Cuffs

When you order a set of sizing guides, you will receive 3 different sizes for each item you select. Each will be marked with their corresponding circumference and type of item.

Simply fit two matching halves around whatever body part they correspond to, such as your wrist or ankle. The two halves should slot together easily. Do this for all three sizes if possible, simply holding the two halves together with your hand. If you find that the parts pinch while closing them, it is likely that that size is too small.

Once you have determined which of the three sizes feels the best, we recommend that you tape it closed around your wrist/ankle/neck and wear it for at least an hour. The tape doesn’t need to be strong, just wrap it around the cuff or collar a couple of times and it will hold it closed without issue. We recommend using painters tape or similar as shown below:

During this time, try to move around and make sure that the cuff or collar doesn’t inhibit your motion or cause circulation issues. Obviously, the collar should not be too tight as this can cause breathing trouble which is extremely dangerous. Likewise, if the wrist cuffs are too tight they can limit hand motion or make it uncomfortable, and ankle cuffs can make walking difficult or painful if they are too small.

Once you have determined that the items are safe and comfortable for at least an hour, repeat the process for your other wrist or ankle if you are sizing cuffs. Most people are slightly asymmetric, so it’s important to test both sides to see if you require different cuff sizes for your left and right sides.

If you find that none of the sizes that were sent to you fit well, you may have to reorder the sizing guide with different measurements. If you find that the sizes seem correct, but that the shape doesn’t fit you well (i.e. the cuffs are too long and narrow, or too short and wide) then please contact us and we can try to accommodate a different shape.
